Helping, again: Seth Maier, 38, bags a discarded sock Saturday as he participates in the 12th annual Spokane River Clean-up near the Mission Street Bridge in Spokane. This is the 10th time Maier has volunteered for the event. Some 5 tons of trash gathered by 600 volunteers were expected to be hauled away from the University District, downtown river gorge area, High Bridge Park and People’s Park.
