Dolphins trade CV grad Will Davis to Ravens

Associated Press

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Baltimore Ravens have obtained cornerback Will Davis from the Miami Dolphins for a 2016 seventh-round draft pick.

In his third season, Davis, a Central Valley graduate, was selected by Miami in the third round of the 2013 draft out of Utah State.

His career has been marred by injuries. He played five games as a rookie, and last year missed the final six weeks after hurting a knee.

This year Davis was in danger of not making the team coming out of training camp, but made two interceptions in the final exhibition game and survived the last roster cut.

The Ravens hope Davis can aid a defense that allowed 351 yards passing and three touchdowns Sunday in a 37-33 loss to Oakland.
