Obituary: Rupnow, Darrel Paul

RUPNOW,
Darrel Paul
(Age 70)

Born in Spokane, WA on December 27, 1945 to Dale and Virginia Rupnow, Darrel was raised in Spokane and Glasgow, MT.

After graduating with a degree in drafting, he worked as a design drafter for Boeing Flight Deck.

He loved fly fishing, kite flying, the great outdoors, built and flew control line model airplanes, designed, built and raced outboard hydroplanes, winning the Nationals in the 70’s, and enjoyed playing piano and accordion.

He was a past member of the Spokane Accordion Club.

Darrel was talented, humble and kind.

The dimension of his faith in Jesus and the love he had for his family leaves a great loss at his passing.

February 27, 2016 he went to be with the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn; children Sabrina (Clif) Warwick, John (Paula) Rupnow and Wendy Rupnow; grandchildren Floyd, Joshua, Hannah Warwick and Becke (Michael) and great-granddaughter Natasha Alexander; his mother Virginia Swensrud; sisters Cheryl Bailey, Nancy Rupnow and Karen (Bob) Whitt.

Thank you to the Specialists and the ICU nurses at Sacred Heart for their skill and compassion.

Visitation will take place from 1 pm - 3 pm on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be at 1 pm on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Spokane First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N Country Homes Blvd, Spokane, WA.

A Graveside Service will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
