Police arrest man suspected of chasing roommate from the shower with a knife

A Spokane woman told police her former roommate pulled her out of the shower and chased her out of the house with a knife.

According to court documents, the woman got into an argument with Kenneth R. Watkins, 53, Monday night. She told police he grabbed her arm, threw her out of the shower and grabbed a kitchen knife while threatening to kill her.

Watkins chased her out to the front yard and kicked her in the back as she ran away, she told police. Two witnesses saw Watkins chasing her, and one told officers he was armed with a knife at the time, court documents say.

Police arrested him on suspicion of assault.
