WSU at Boise State: Players of the game

Game ball goes to: Jeremy McNichols has averaged more than two touchdowns per game in his career, and the playmaking running back was at his best against the Cougars. McNichols racked up XX yards and two scores on the ground, and added 25 yards in the rushing game and, most importantly, ran for a back-breaking 26-yard first down run on BSU’s final drive when the Cougars desperately needed a stop.

Offensive player of the game: Thomas Sperbeck as almost unguardable out of the slot, catching seven passes for 133 yards and a score. He turned short passes into long gains, long passes into longer ones and gave the Cougars fits all night.

Defensive player of the game: Shalom Luani did everything he could to make up for lost time after missing the WSU opener because of a suspension. He intercepted two passes to give the WSU offense the ball deep in BSU territory, and added a pair of tackles.
