KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Authorities say an Oregon woman impersonated a U.S. Department of the Treasury employee while trying to pay a parking ticket with a fraudulent money order.

The Herald and News reported (https://is.gd/sfdVYl ) 38-year-old Keisha Richcreek, of Klamath Falls, appeared in court Monday on charges of first-degree forgery and criminal impersonation. She’s due back in court next month.

Court records show Richcreek was arrested after trying to pay a $20 parking ticket with two $10 money orders. Klamath Falls police said the money orders were from the “United States Treasury Trust Account” and signed by an “authorized representative.”

An examination of the money orders led police to believe they were an attempt to fraudulently represent a government official.
