Police searching for north Spokane shooting suspect

Spokane police officers are searching for an assailant who shot a man in north Spokane Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to a residence in the area of North Magnolia Street and West Broad Avenue near Rogers High School at about 4:45 p.m., where an argument had broken out between two acquaintances, police said in a news release.

Before police arrived, bear mace had been deployed and a firearm was discharged, striking one person, police said. The person who was shot fled the area and was later located at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm. Officers said he is expected to survive.

The shooter has not been located. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
