Volleyball roundup: Katarina Moeller helps keep Mead at top of GSL standings after sweep of Rogers

Katarina Moeller had eight kills with three blocks and Mead (5-0) crusied to a 3-0 win (25-17, 25-22, 25-13) over visiting Rogers (0-5) in a Greater Spokane League match on Tuesday.

Akon Aleu had eight kills for the Pirates.

Central Valley 3, North Central 0: Sami Smith registered eight aces and Central Valley (5-1) beat visiting North Central (0-6) in straight sets (25-5, 25-9, 25-6).

Mt. Spokane 3, Shadle Park 0: Miahna Waters had seven kills, six aces and eight digs and visiting Mt. Spokane (3-2) swept Shadle Park (1-5) in straight sets (25-17, 25-23, 25-16). Sophia Votava recorded seven kills and two aces for the Highlanders.

University 3, Ferris 0: Joli Poplawski dished out 17 assists with a pair of aces and visiting University (4-1) swept Ferris (3-3) in straight sets (25-18, 25-23, 25-20).

Gonzaga Prep 3, Lewis and Clark 0: Kate Budig had 12 kills with ten digs and Gonzaga Prep (5-0) swept visiting Lewis and Clark (2-4) in straight sets (25-22, 25-18, 25-19). Grace Zemke added 14 kills for the Bullpups.

Great Nothern League:

Pullman 3, West Valley 0: India Rahmani recorded 16 assists with five aces and visiting Pullman (6-0) swept West Valley (2-6) in straight sets (25-20, 25-15, 25-6).

East Valley 3, Cheney 0: Avery Stark had ten kills with 12 digs and visiting East Valley (4-3) beat Cheney (5-2) in four sets (19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-15). Peyton Stark added 22 assists with 12 digs for the Knights.

Northeast A:

Lakeside (WA) 3, Chewelah 0: Olivia Mikkelsen handed out 18 assists, blocked two hits and Lakeside (10-0) swept visiting Chewelah (4-7) in straight sets (25-9, 25-11, 25-5). Skyla Tunison had six kills and four blocks for the Cougars.

Colville 3, Medical Lake 0: Kora Pitts dished out 32 assists and Colville (8-2) swept Medical Lake (0-10) in straight sets (25-9, 25-15, 25-7). Sierra Brock had 11 digs for the Cardinals.

Freeman 3, Deer Park 1: Rhea Jansen notched 17 digs with three aces and Freeman (8-2) beat visiting Deer Park (4-6) in four sets (25-16, 25-18, 21-25, 25-10). Meghan Nicholas recorded 24 assists for the Stags.

Newport 3, Riverside 2: Faith Hood had 12 kills and visiting Newport (6-5) beat Riverside (2-8) in five sets (24-26, 25-12, 23-25, 25-14, 15-4). Olivia Winkle recorded eight kills and 13 assists for the Rams.

Northeast 2B:

Liberty 3, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 1: Maisie Burnham had 11 kills with seven blocks and Liberty (5-1) beat visiting Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (4-2) in four sets (16-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-20).

Northwest Christian 3, St. George’s 0: Paige Dawson tallied 11 assists and eight kills and visiting Northwest Christian (6-0) beat St. George’s (3-4) in straight sets (25-18, 25-13, 25-14). Emma Sweatman recorded five aces and 14 digs for the Crusaders.

Wilbur-Creston 3, Springdale 1: Alicia Johnson dug out 51 digs and Wilbur-Creston (6-3) beat visiting Springdale (3-5) in four sets (25-27, 25-10, 25-13, 26-24). Schie Springstead added 14 assists with six aces for the Chargers.

Colfax 3, Tekoa-Rosalia 0: Visiting Colfax (7-0) swept Tekoa-Rosalia (2-5) in straight sets (25-10, 25-10, 25-8) on Tuesday in a Northeast 2B league match.

Northeast 1B:

Selkirk 3, Valley Christian 0: Whitney Dawson had 13 kills and Selkirk (8-1) beat visiting Valley Christian (4-5) in straight sets (25-16, 25-13, 25-18).

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 3, Inchelium 0: Makenna Oliver had 16 assists with three aces and Almira/Coulee-Hartline (10-0) swept Inchelium (3-5) in straight sets (25-13, 25-13, 25-19). Meika Heath led Inchelium with two aces, seven kills, five blocks and five digs.

Northport 3, Columbia 0: Ashtyn Baribault recorded 11 aces and Northport (6-3) crusied to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-13) victory over visiting Columbia (0-8). Sophie Wyborney had nine digs and two blocks for the Lions.

Kettle Falls 3, Curlew 1: Madeline Neyens had six aces with three digs and visiting Kettle Falls (1-5) beat Curlew (1-8) in four sets (25-14, 25-16, 17-25, 25-22) in a nonleague match on Tuesday.

Lake City 3, Coeur d’Alene 1: Lake City (7-0) beat visiting Coeur d’Alene (2-5) in four sets (25-21, 16-25, 25-23, 25-27) in a 5A Inland Empire match.

Post Falls 3, Lewiston 0: Allison Munday had 19 kills with six blocks and Post Falls (2-4) defeated Lewiston (3-3) in three sets (25-23, 25-22, 25-17) in a 5A Inland Empire match. Macky Morris registered 12 kills with 22 digs for Post Falls.

Sandpoint 3, Lakeland 0: Sandpoint (1-2) rolled over Lakeland (1-3) in straight sets (25-22, 25-19, 25-13) in a 4A Inland Empire match.

Timberlake 3, Bonners Ferry 1: Kenzie Dean had eight kills and visiting Timberlake (4-0) defeated Bonners Ferry (4-1) in four sets (11-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-17) in an Intermountain League match on Tuesday. Jerzie Pluid added 11 kills for the Badgers.
