Volleyball roundup: Peyton Stark helps Cheney beat Clarkston in four sets

Cheney 3, Clarkston 1: Peyton Stark notched 16 kills with 16 assists and visiting Cheney (6-3) beat Clarkston (2-7) in four sets (25-22, 25-17, 20-25, 25-17) in a Great Northern League match on Saturday.

Eva Millan recorded 17 kills and 36 digs for the Bantams.

Odessa 3, Inchelium 0: McKennah Davison scored six aces and Odessa (8-2) defeated Inchelium (4-6) in three sets (25-19, 28-26, 25-16) between two Northeast 1B schools. Malaeh Davison added six kills with two aces for the Tigers.

Republic 3, Valley Christian 1: Carlie Rittel registered 15 kills, five aces and three blocks and visiting Republic (8-3) beat Valley Christian (4-6) in four sets (25-15, 23-25, 25-20, 25-9) in a Northeast 1B league match.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 3, Northport 0: Maddie Murray had 11 kills and Almira/Coulee-Hartline (12-0) defeated Northport (6-4) in three sets (25-16, 25-14, 25-19) in Northeast 1B play. MiKayla Rushton added four aces for the Warriors.

Idaho

Lake City 3, Coeur d’Alene 0: The top-seeded Timberwolves swept the No. 4 Vikings in three sets (25-16, 25-20, 25-16) in the first round of the 5A District 1-2 playoffs.

Lake City will face Post Falls on Tuesday for the district title and a berth to the state playoffs.

Post Falls 3, Lewiston 0: The No. 3-seeded Trojans upended the second-seeded Bengals in three sets (25-20, 25-15, 25-15) in the first round of the 5A District 1-2 playoffs.

Lakeland 3, Timberlake 1: Lakeland (6-7) topped Timberlake (4-5) in four sets (22-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-21) in a nonleague matchup. McKeeley Tonkin had 24 assists with two aces for the Tigers.
