Car theft suspect found sleeping in back seat of stolen vehicle

From staff reports

A man was arrested Monday after falling asleep in the back seat of a stolen car, according to the Spokane Sheriff’s Office.

Joshua Crowley was booked into Spokane County Jail and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a dangerous weapon and making theft tools.

Crowley, 28, was arrested after a caller reported a suspicious vehicle running at 2:30 a.m. at the 4200 block of North Silas Road. Deputies said they then checked the license plate number and saw that vehicle was reported stolen.

Crowley was found sleeping the car’s back seat, the Sheriff’s Office said, and was arrested without incident. He was released from jail Tuesday.
