Spokane SC Shadow forward Jake Levine (Central Valley High) was selected as the 13th National Premier League Player of the Week for the 2018 season, the soccer team announced Friday.

Levine tallied three goals in a 5-0 win over Kitsap Pumas on June 9.

“This is my first year with the Shadow men’s team,” Levine said. “I’m glad that things have gone as well as they have. At the end of the day, it’s my teammates that should be thanked. They’re the ones who got me these goals. They’re the ones I scored them for.”

“Jake has been fantastic for us this season, leading the line with a maturity and focus that belies his young age,” Spokane SC Shadow head coach and director of coaching Mike Pellicio said. “His ability to link play, run at defenders, and finish off our attacking movements make him a tremendous threat when we have the ball. I’ve had the pleasure of coaching Jake since he was 15 years of age and he’s a perfect example of what young players in our club can accomplish if they truly dedicate themselves to their development from an early age in Spokane.”
