The Idaho State Police said Monday that troopers investigating a reported kidnapping pursued a Spokane Valley suspect along Interstate 90 and eventually used spike strips to flatten the tires of a disabled a minivan near Kellogg, Idaho.

Troopers arrested Rodney A. Bradley, 28, and announced that a woman and two children were safe after the chase. The news release did not indicate the nature of the abduction or how the investigation began.

The chase and investigation also included deputies from Shoshone County. The van continued to travel for several miles on three rims after running over the spike strip. The minivan stopped after plunging into a deep snowdrift.
