The body of a man discovered March 1 in Lake Coeur d’Alene is confirmed to be a retired forester missing since February.

Larry Isenberg, 68, was reported missing on Feb. 13 by his wife Laurcene “Lori” Isenberg, who said the two were out boating in Powderhorn Bay near Harrison when her husband fell in the water while attempting to fix the boat’s motor.

Kootenai County Coroner Warren Keene confirmed the man’s identity Thursday. An autopsy has not been completed.

Lori Isenberg, who was arrested on Feb. 26 for embezzlement, said she looked for her husband for “maybe two hours” before calling for help.

The former North Idaho Housing Coalition director was charged with embezzling nearly $500,000 from the nonprofit. Hours before Larry Isenberg’s disappearance, Lori Isenberg had reportedly severed ties with NIHC.

In court last month, a judge set Lori Isenber’g bond at $75,000.
