Morning prep roundup: Hunter Tiffany’s three-hit complete game leads West Valley to state

Baseball: Hunter Tiffany pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts and West Valley (15-9) eliminated visiting Othello (11-13) 8-1 in a 2A crossover to qualify for state.

Jaxson Imada went 3 for 4 and Bryan Andrews had an RBI single for West Valley.

Softball: Hailey McCarthy went 2 for 2 with a double and 3 RBIs and East Valley (11-9) eliminated visiting Pullman (3-18) 14-2 at Cheney HS in a first-round game.

Abbie Brake tossed a complete game with six strikeouts. East Valley faces West Valley in a semifinal on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Cheney HS.
