Prep football roundup: Zack Jongeward carries Central Valley over Ferris

Zack Jongeward rushed for 116 yards with three touchdowns and Central Valley (4-3, 1-2) scored 35 second half points to beat visiting Ferris (4-3, 0-3) in a Greater Spokane League 4A game on Friday.

Hunter Chodorowski added 137 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries for Central Valley.

Jovan Ruffin carried 14 times for 103 yards for Ferris while Zack Fleming hauled in a 67-yard touchdown pass from Jack Clavel.

Mt. Spokane 33, Rogers 16: Devon Lusk scored on a rushing and receiving touchdown and the sixth-ranked Wildcats (6-1, 1-0) defeated the Pirates (0-7, 0-1) in a GSL 3A game at Albi Stadium.

Tommy Madill ran for 98 yards with touchdown for Mt. Spokane while Casey Jeske threw for 136 yards and a touchdown for Rogers.

Shadle Park 44, North Central 7: Carson Doyle went 14 of 21 for 241 yards with three touchdown passes and the Highlanders (1-2, 2-5) defeated the Indians (1-3, 1-6) at Albi Stadium.

Ryan Schmidt had seven catches for 163 yards and two TDs and scored on an interception return for Shadle Park.

Great Northern League

Clarkston 28, Cheney 21: Kaeden Frazier went 19 of 30 for 209 yards with two touchdowns and the Bantams (3-4, 1-2) beat the visiting Blackhawks (6-1, 1-1).

Tru Allen caught five passes for 97 yards with a touchdown and Steve Baiye hauled in seven catches for 68 yards and a score.

Northeast A

Colville 28, Newport 7: John Knight went 10 of 17 for 177 yards with a touchdown and the Indians (5-2, 4-0) knocked off the visiting Grizzlies (5-1, 3-1). Knight added a rushing touchdown.

Grant Michaliszyn rumbled 40 yards for a first-quarter touchdown for Colville while Chase Kanamu gathered an 80-yard TD pass from Knight.

Lakeside (WA) 56, Freeman 34: Kasen Hunsaker went 17 of 21 for 308 yards with four touchdowns and the visiting Eagles (3-4, 3-2) defeated the Scotties (0-7, 0-4).

Micah Holmes caught two touchdown passes and rushed for another for Lakeside.

Will Campbell caught two TD passes and scored on a fumble recovery for Freeman.

Riverside 14, Medical Lake 7: Sammy DesRoches scored two rushing touchdowns and the visiting Rams (4-3, 3-2) held off the Cardinals (2-5, 1-3).

Inland Empire 5A

Coeur d’Alene 69, Lake City 14: The Vikings (7-0, 2-0) rolled the visiting Timberwolves (3-5, 0-2).

Post Falls 34, Lewiston 28 (OT): The Trojans (4-3, 2-0) handled the visiting Bengals (5-3, 0-2).

Northeast 2B

Asotin 28, Colfax 7: Logan Richardson rolled up 172 rushing yards with two touchdowns and the Panthers (5-2, 1-1) topped the visiting Bulldogs (4-3, 2-1).

Liberty 36, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 15: Matt Heer had 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries as the visiting Lancers (3-4, 1-1) beat the Broncos (2-5, 0-3) on Friday.

Davenport 46, Springdale 27: Gavin Boggs ran for 124 yards with four touchdowns and the Gorillas (2-5) beat the visiting Chargers (3-3) in a nonleague game.

Omak 21, Reardan 10: Josef Avena had two interceptions and returned one for a touchdown and the visiting Pioneers (7-0) beat the Indians (5-2) in a nonleague game.

Curlew 52, Northport 8: Jacob Mills rushed for 147 yards with two touchdowns and the Cougars (2-4, 2-2) defeated the visiting Mustangs (1-6, 1-3). Josh Wright scored two touchdowns for Curlew, including an interception return.

Odessa 2, Bridgeport 0: The Tigers (7-0, 5-0) won by forfeit over the Mustangs (2-3, 2-3).

Tekoa-Rosalia 68, Cusick 8: The visiting Timberwolves (5-1, 4-0) routed the Panthers (1-5, 1-3).

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 70, Pateros 6: Grady Murray returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns and the visiting Warriors (6-1, 4-1) beat the Billygoats (3-4, 2-3).

Republic 62, Columbia 0: The Tigers (4-3, 2-2) routed the visiting Lions (2-5, 2-3).

Priest River 20, Bonners Ferry 6: The visiting Spartans (3-4, 1-1) beat the Badgers (1-7, 0-2) in an Intermountain League 3A game.

Timberlake 32, Kellogg 6: The visiting Tigers (5-3, 2-0) beat the Wildcats (2-5, 1-1) in an Intermountain League 3A game.

Grangeville 52, Orofino 27: The Bulldogs (8-0, 2-0) handled the Maniacs (2-5, 0-1) in a Central Idaho 2A game.

Mullan 48, Kootenai 12: The Tigers (2-3, 2-3) topped the visiting Warriors (3-3, 1-3) in a White Star League game.
