Home decor store headed to old Costco on Division, according to plans on file at city

From staff reports

At Home plans to open a retail store in part of the former Costco Wholesale building on North Division.

The Plano, Texas-based company has a chain of roughly 150 large-format stores selling home decor items, including furniture, rugs, linens and bed and bath items.

At Home is planning a $1.3 million remodel of 87,000 square feet of space, according to a building permit application on file with the city of Spokane. The work includes a new entry and interior renovation.

The old Costco at 7619 N. Division has 134,000 square feet of space. Plans submitted to the city indicate the building will be divided into two commercial spaces.

Costco’s new store at 12020 N. Newport Highway opened in July.
