Demitrius Kigeya’s late goal gives Gonzaga men’s soccer win at Sacramento State

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Demitrius Kigeya scored in the 86th minute Thursday to lift Gonzaga to a 2-1 win over Sacramento State in nonconference men’s soccer.

Kigeya dribbled through the top of the box and shot into the lower-left corner for his team-high third goal of the season.

The Bulldogs (2-5-2) took a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute on Jake Kempf’s first goal of the season. Quinn Liebmann assisted on the goal, a high shot over leaping goalie Nick Kubler.

The Hornets (1-5-2) forced a tie at 70:40 on Alejandro Alcantara’s first goal of the season.
