Gonzaga’s Josh Perkins, Idaho’s Taylor Pierce miss out on 3-point semifinals in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS – Gonzaga’s Josh Perkins and Idaho’s Taylor Pierce had short stays during Thursday’s State Farm 3-point Championship in conjunction with the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four at the Target Center.

Perkins scored 14 points in the men’s competition and Pierce had 13 in the women’s field. Neither advanced to the semifinals.

The winners were Clayton Custer of Loyola (Chicago) for men and Central Michigan’s Presley Hudson for women.

Perkins ranks fourth in Bulldogs history with 253 career 3-pointers. Pierce set an NCAA single-season record with 154 3-pointers this year.
