Prep softball: Morgan Flesland tosses perfect game in Mt. Spokane win

Greater Spokane League

Mt. Spokane 17, North Central 0: Morgan Flesland pitched a perfect game with ten strikeouts and the Wildcats (1-0) defeated the visiting Indians (0-1) in the league opener for both teams on Wednesday. Flesland was also 3 for 3 with a triple and three runs.

Central Valley 6, Lewis and Clark 1: Cheyenne Parker struck out seven in a complete game and the Bears (1-0) beat the Tigers (0-1) in their league opener. Gianna McCoy went 2 for 4 with a triple and an RBI for the Bears.

Gonzaga Prep 16, Rogers 6: Jadyn Raley-Jones went 2 for 3 with a three-run home run and the Bullpups (1-0) beat the visiting Pirates (0-1) in their league opener.

Shadle Park 8, Ferris 1: Megan Keenan went 3 for 3 with two home runs and four RBIs to propel the Highlanders (1-0) over the Saxons (0-1) in their league opener.

University 11, Mead 0: Makayla Marshall had three hits, including a double and a home run, and the Titans (1-0) defeated the visiting Panthers (0-1) in their league opener. Tammya Campbell pitched a complete game for University and allowed four hits. The Titans turned a triple play in the second inning.

Great Northern League

West Valley 16, Cheney 7: Maddi Thomspson went 4 for 4 with a home run and the Eagles (1-0) beat the visiting Blackhawks (0-1) in the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.

West Valley 13, Cheney 2: Kilee Imada went 2 for 3 with two doubles and freshman Rilee Homer went 2 for 3 and stuck out five as the Eagles (2-0) beat the visiting Blackhawks (0-2) in the second game.

Northeast A

Lakeside 11, Medical Lake 4: Aggie Bennett went 3 for 4 and Mariah Nortz went 2 for 3 and the visiting Eagles (4-2) defeated Cardinals (1-2).

Deer Park 15, Riverside 0: Jaylee Lane struck out seven in a complete game and the visiting Stags (2-0) defeated the Rams (0-2). Lane homered in a 14-hit attack for Deer Park.
