Sports letters: John Blanchette’s columns always informative, entertaining

Blanchette one of the

best in the business

I thoroughly enjoy reading John Blanchette’s columns. Having been a fan of Rick Reilly’s writing style on the last page of SI magazine for so long, and having taken two (mandatory) English courses while a biology major in college, I think I am qualified to say that John is the most pertinent and entertaining writer of all time.

Why are transfer QBs

the new norm for WSU?

So I guess WSU won’t be recruiting any high school quarter- backs going forward. After all, who cares about success stories of a recruit stepping up and delivering as we see in other NCAA programs?

Simply wait until season’s end and browse through the stack of disgruntled QBs who have been in one or more other programs and are shopping for their next gig. The NCAA has allowed an annual free-agent market to develop. So instead of slobbering over 18-year-old high school seniors you can now slobber over 21-plus-year-old vagabonds.
