At 4 p.m. at the North Pines Road Subway, a white male allegedly showed a knife to the Subway worker and demanded money, according to a news release from Spokane County Sheriff’s Department.

The man fled on foot alone. No one was injured.

Witnesses described the man as late 20s or early 30s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a distinctive white coat with gray squares. The coat’s hood had a perforated bill.

Owner Terry Weir said he doesn’t know how much money was stolen.

“We try to make frequent deposits during the day so if it were to happen, it would be very minimal,” he said.

Deputies are asking anyone with information to call call Major Crimes Detective Nate Bohanek at (509) 477-3223 and use reference No. 10027939.
