Gonzaga men, women learn tip-off times for upcoming WCC basketball tournaments

The Gonzaga men and women don’t officially have opponents yet for the upcoming West Coast Conference Basketball Championships, but they do have official game times.

The GU men (29-2), coming off a 16-0 conference record, will play Monday, March 11, at 6 p.m. in a semifinal against one of four teams on their side of the bracket: No. 4 San Francisco, No. 5 Loyola Marymount, No. 8 Pacific or No. 9 Pepperdine. Second-place Saint Mary’s anchors the other side of the bracket.

Gonzaga’s semifinal on Monday will be televised on ESPN. The WCC men’s championship tips off Tuesday at 6 p.m. and will air on ESPN.

The Gonzaga women, meanwhile, will open the tournament March 11 at noon. The Zags (27-3 overall, 16-2 WCC) earned the top seed and will play either No. 4 Saint Mary’s, No. 5 Loyola Marymount, No. 8 Portland or No. 9 San Francisco. The WCC women’s championship will air on ESPN2 on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
