78-year-old Spokane Valley man struck by car while crossing North Pines Road

A 78-year-old Spokane Valley man was taken to the hospital Friday evening after he was struck by a car while crossing North Pines Road.

Ronald L. Davis was crossing four lanes of traffic at East Olive Avenue, where there is no crosswalk, around 6:15 p.m. when he was struck by an SUV driven by Denia C. Correa, 48, of Spokane, according to Washington State Patrol.

Correa was not injured in the crash and was able to drive her car from the scene, WSP said. Davis was transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.
