We had reminded everyone not to disturb the nests. But more than one caller pointed out that some birds become highly stressed if anyone even gets near their nests.

Well, we’re not calling off the contest. But we promise that the grand prize, the loon book, won’t be awarded for an extreme close-up.

It turns out they enjoy reenacting those customer-testimonial Wendle Ford advertisements. It’s fun for the whole family, they said.

And they swear Wendle is where they’re going to buy their next car.
