Dear Heloise: I know how people feel about those plastic packing peanuts, as they seem to have a mind of their own.
I have a double whammy of a recycling tip, plus everybody who gets a package from me loves me to death. You can’t beat that.
I use the plastic bags my newspaper comes in, fill them as full as needed with peanuts, squeeze out the air, tie a knot and presto! - Oxnard, Calif. Reader

Dear Heloise: A great chore for a rainy day: Gather all your towels, face cloths, pretty cushions and pillows and cut off those ugly manufacturer’s tags. You are the ultimate consumer, so you won’t go to jail! Think how much prettier they will look.
