Brian Vaughn Promoted To Sergeant In The Marines

Marine Sgt. Brian R. Vaughn, son of Robert and Margarete Vaughan of Coeur d’Alene, has been meritoriously promoted to his present rank.

Vaughan, who serves with Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Calif., is a 1993 Coeur d’Alene High School graduate.

Air Force Airman Kelly C. Goen, daughter of Cynthia Goen of Hayden, Idaho, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Goen is a 1997 Coeur d’Alene High School graduate. She earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Air Force Senior Airman Sherry L. Ochoa, daughter of Carlene Ochoa of Coeur d’Alene, has arrived for duty as a dental assistant with the 8th Medical Group at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea.

Ochoa is a 1989 Coeur d’Alene High School graduate.

Army Pvt. Warren W. Whitten, son of George Whitten of Spirit Lake, Idaho and Sonja Orton of Elko, Nev., has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. , DataTimes MEMO: Contact for Idaho Achievements is Sherry Adkins.
