Youth Furniture Has Contoured Look

Gary Krino The Orange County Register

It’s welcoming. It’s contemporary. It’s for kids. Stanley Furniture Co. has taken contemporary styling and given it a soft, contoured effect to create Inspirations, its new Young America youth-bedroom collection.

Extra-thick solid-ash drawer fronts and custom-designed recessed drawer pulls combine to give Inspirations its contoured effect. The drawer pulls are wood, rounded to echo the overall contours. Soft, round design elements include overhanging case tops, end panels with softened front edges, and arch-topped hutches.

There are 25 pieces in the collection, including a computer desk, a companion hutch with a cork tack-board inset and under-shelf lighting, a bookcase headboard, bunk beds, twin-over-twin and full lofts, slat and captain’s beds, and optional under-bed storage units.
