Grace Rogers Garfield, Wash.

Service for Grace D. Rogers, 89, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Abundant Life Fellowship in Palouse, Wash. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Melrose Cemetery in Palouse. Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow, Idaho, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rogers, who was born in Spokane, died Friday in Moscow.

She graduated from Potlatch (Idaho) High School and received her teaching certificate from Lewiston Normal School. She taught school in the Potlatch area.

She and her husband farmed together from 1945 to 1959. She taught school at Weippe, Idaho, and Orofino, Idaho, between 1960 and her retirement in 1972. She received her bachelor’s degree in 1970 from the University of Idaho.

After retirement she moved to Garfield, where she was a member of the Happy Hour Club and PEO. She was active in the church and was a member of the Rebekkah’s Lodge in Orofino.

Her husband, Estel, died in 1964.

Survivors include two sons, Doran Rogers of Grinnell, Wash., and Dean Rogers of Garfield; a daughter, Soleil Martel of Pullman; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Delbert Hull Spokane

Memorial service for Delbert E. Hull, 83, will be at 2 p.m. today at Millwood Community Presbyterian Church. Private inurnment will be held at Pines Cemetery. Hennessey Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hull, who was born and raised in Marlin, Wash., died Thursday.

He worked as a sales manager for Armour Meat Packing Co. and was a 60-year resident of Spokane Mr. Hull was a member of Elks Lodge 228, Kiwanis, and Millwood Community Presbyterian Church where he was an elder.

There are several surviving family members.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Millwood Community Presbyterian Church.

John Lium Cheney

Private family service for John O. Lium, 84, will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Christine, N.D. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lium, who was born in Christine, died Thursday.

He served in the Navy during World War II in a ship repair unit.

Mr. Lium worked as a port director and customs agent until his retirement.

He moved to Spokane 22 years ago from Laurier, Wash.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Janet; a daughter, Claudia Lium of Medical Lake; a brother, Roger Lium; a sister, Winifred Lindgren; two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Gordon Friberg Spokane

Burial service for Gordon M. Friberg, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fairmount Memorial Park Sunset Mausoleum. Memorial service will follow at noon at Zion Lutheran Church. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Friberg, who was born in Comertown, Mont., died Thursday.

He was raised in Coeur d’Alene and graduated in 1944 from the University of Idaho with a degree in industrial arts.

In 1948 he married Dorothy Granly in Spokane.

Mr. Friberg taught school in Oregon for three years before coming to Spokane to teach in the Central Valley School District. He taught there for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He taught at Opportunity, North Pines, Greenacres Junior High and helped open Bowdish Junior High.

He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, the March of Dimes, Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

His wife died in 1992.

Survivors include two sons, Terry and Gary Friberg, both of Spokane; two brothers, Roland Friberg of Maple Valley, Wash., and Walt Friberg of Bellingham; a sister, Loretta Tanner of Woodland, Wash.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Margaret Ward Spokane

Memorial service for Margaret J. “Peggy” Ward, 43, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist Church. Private burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Kellogg, Ms. Ward died Wednesday.

She was raised in the Silver Valley and attended Camp Easter Seal in Worley, Idaho, for 30 years.

Ms. Ward did electronics work and was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She was a 20-year Spokane resident.

Survivors include her mother, Margaret Ward of Osburn, Idaho; a brother, Thomas Ward of Redmond, Wash.; and a sister, Nancy Carleton of Spokane.

Memorial contributions may be made to Center Pointe.

Anna Marie Henry Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Anna Henry, 67, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.

Mrs. Henry, who died Wednesday, was born in Kellogg.

She graduated from Kellogg High School in 1949 and worked for Thornhill Furniture. She worked as a secretary for Hecla Mining Co. from 1962 until 1991, when she retired.

Mrs. Henry was a member of the Kellogg Women’s Bowling Association and the Coeur d’Alene Business and Professional Women’s Organization.

Survivors include three cousins, Adolf Nissen of Spokane, Robert Henry of Everett and Ruth Kellogg of Salem, Ore.

Marjorie Carlson Spokane

Graveside service for Marjorie A. Carlson, 69, is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Carlson, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Wednesday.

She worked for 30 years in retail sales for Sears.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Lloyd; a son, James Carlson of Spokane; three daughters, Judy Witcher and Terri McNeilly, both of Spokane and Linda Hoskins of Houston; two brothers, Wendall and Ronald Hall, both of Spokane; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Spokane.

Troy Robinett Spokane

No service will be held for Troy D. Robinett, 28, at his request. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Robinett, who was born in Spokane, died Tuesday.

He worked as a diesel mechanic.

Survivors include his fiancee, Ginger Rowley; a son, Trevor Robinett, and a daughter, Tausha Robinett, both of Post Falls; his mother, Ernestine Wathea of Lewiston; his father and stepmother, Doug and Debbie Robinett of Clarkston, Wash.; two brothers, Todd Robinett of Clarkston and Tony Robinett of Spokane; a sister, Tawnia Robinett of Cloverland, Wash.; and his grandmother, Zelma Von Tersch of Lewiston.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Alfred Agee Post Falls

Burial for Alfred Augustus Agee, 85, will be March 21 at the Roselawn Cemetery in Pueblo, Colo. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Agee, who was born in Paragould, Ark., died Thursday.

He lived in Pueblo for several years and retired from painting in the San Diego area.

Mr. Agee was a resident of Spokane for several years before moving to Post Falls a few years ago.

He was involved in the Rocky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Painters Local Union 1906 of Vista, Calif., and a member of Hope Wesleyan Church.

His wife, Erma, preceded him in death.

Survivors include three daughters, Ida Laney of Pueblo, Colo., Iva Haggerty of Spokane and Ina Ward of Deer Park; five sons, James Agee of Santa Ysabel, Calif., Jerry Agee of Beaumont, Texas, Alfred Agee of Twin Lakes, Idaho, Danny Agee of Salado, Texas, and Jody Agee of Post Falls; four brothers; two sisters; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
