Ed and Evelyn Schmidt recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a dinner at Northern Lights Brewing Co.
Stacy Irvin, Spokane, a granddaughter, hosted the event.
Their children and spouses include: Tom and Anita Schmidt, Spokane; and Connie and Jim Cooley, Cheney.
The couple were married Oct. 5, 1940, in Spokane. They have four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
