Bird walk – A member of the Audubon Society will lead a bird walk at the Turnbull Wildlife Refuge, 9 a.m.-noon today. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and cameras. Donations will be accepted. Call (509) 328-0621 or (509) 359-7050 to register.

Crime awareness meetings – The community is invited to town meetings on neighborhood crime, 2 and 6 p.m. Wednesday at Moran United Methodist Church, 3601 E. 65th Ave. Guests include Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich and Sen.
