Tonight’s might-see

“Tour of Gymnastic Superstars,” 8 p.m., MyTV. Here’s a chance to see gymnasts perform for sheer entertainment. There will be no rules and lots of pop music. The night includes such Olympic champions as Nastia Liukin, Shawn Johnson and Paul Hamm.

Other choices include

“The Mentalist,” 8 p.m., CBS. If you missed this series debut on Tuesday, catch it now. The first few minutes are stark, sharp and (at times) funny; then things get serious. Simon Baker plays a former fake psychic. Now he’s a real cop, using his observation abilities.

“America’s Toughest Jobs,” 8 p.m., NBC. Most weeks, the producers are on familiar turf. They view jobs – oil rig, fishing boat, etc. – that they visited in cable shows. Here’s the exception: People take on the dangerous job of distracting a bull in a bullfighting ring.

“Million Dollar Baby” (2004), 8-11 p.m., AMC. Clint Eastwood beautifully directed this moving (and depressing) story of a young woman (Hillary Swank), determined to be a boxer. The result won Oscars for best picture, director, actress and supporting actor (Morgan Freeman).

“Minutemen” (2008, Disney Channel) or “Sweet Home Alabama” (2002, USA Network), both 9 p.m. Here are light alternatives for people allergic to debates. One has time-traveling teens; the other has Reese Witherspoon returning to Alabama to get her husband to sign the divorce papers.
