LC freshman’s song appears in NBC movie
A Spokane high school freshman performs a song featured tonight in a made-for-television movie.
Tanner Azzinnaro, a Christian singer-songwriter who attends Lewis and Clark High School, appears on the soundtrack for “A Walk in My Shoes,” airing tonight at 8 on NBC (KHQ-6 in Spokane).
One of the YouTube videos he posted over the summer was spotted by veteran producer/musician Charlie Peacock, who was working with “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson on the soundtrack. Azzinnaro flew to Nashville in September to record a song written by Peacock, “Story Behind the Girl.”
“A Walk in My Shoes,” starring Nancy Travis as a stressed-out high school teacher who learns a lesson in compassion, is the third in the “Family Movie Night” series sponsored by Walmart and Procter & Gamble.
A DVD and soundtrack CD will be available exclusively in Walmart stores beginning Saturday.
