With Peter Frampton hitting town tonight, we at Spokane 7 were contemplating the best live albums ever produced and asked our readers for their suggestions. They came up with some good ones. Here’s a sampling of the answers:
@MLindley Music
The Rolling Stones “Get Your Ya Ya’s Out”
@Darren Volland
John Lennon in New York City
@sparkysqrd
U2 - Live under a blood red sky
@ZestyRusty
Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush: Live
@sodito
Hampton Comes Alive #Phish (Phish is also in the area this weekend – playing tonight and Saturday at The Gorge)
@Brian Odegaard
“At Fillmore East” by Allman Brothers Band
@dangayle
I’m particularly fond of The Song Remains the Same by Led Zeppelin.
Paul Palting
Kiss Alive - It defined the band as a live act and introduced their first 3 albums’ material to new fans. It pushed them to a new level but of course you had to live in that generation to truly appreciate it.
Mickey Lonchar
The Talking Heads ‘Stop Making Sense’ (1984)
Scott Hammel
Cheap Trick at Budokan
Carrel Dawn Cline
Waiting for Columbus by Little Feat
Charleen Woody Neal
My husband says Kansas “Two For the Show”
