Man shot hours after body found at same location

A man was shot Friday night in an east Spokane home that a dead body was found outside of earlier in the day. Jeremy Paul Lambert, 35, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest when a group of men opened fire outside the home Friday night, according to the Spokane Police Department. Lambert was rushed to a Spokane hospital and authorities say he’s likely to survive. Police were alerted to the shooting at 11:18 p.m. Police say the home, located at 1607 E. Pacific, is considered a problem residence that has been the subject of emphasis patrols in the past. On Friday night, a group of men gathered outside a back door of the home and began shooting into the house, police said. One of the bullets hit Lambert. Earlier that day, a man’s body was found in front of the home. A cause of death in the case has not been determined.
