From Staff Reports

The Spokane Regional Health District has been named among the healthiest workplaces in an international competition.

The district’s efforts will be featured in a yearlong healthy workplace promotional program and receive a $3,000 prize, according to a press release.

A free toolkit detailing its approach is available on the district’s website, www.srhd.org.

The health district also offers help for employers with 500 employees or more that want to improve their wellness programs. Call (509) 324-1659.

The health district won the Global Healthy Workplace Award for small and medium organizations. The awards are organized by Global Knowledge and Exchange Network, Wolf Kirsten International Health Consulting and i-genius.
