3. ‘Captain Fantastic’: An Evening with Viggo Mortensen

The Panida Theater will host the Sandpoint premier of “Captain Fantastic” and two evenings with actor Viggo Mortensen. Each evening will include a screening of the film followed by a question and answer session with the actor. The event benefits Panhandle Community Radio (KRFY) and Team Autism 24/7. 4. ‘Tuesdays With Morrie’

Sixteen years after graduating, an accomplished journalist reunites with a former professor battling a debilitating disease. Once the friendship is rekindled, a simple visit turns into a weekly class on the meaning of life. The play is adapted from the best-selling autobiographical book by Mitch Albom and is directed by Kevin Kuban.

5. Chevelle

6. Spokane Nordic Winterfest

A celebration of skiing, snow and (hopefully) sunshine with fun events for all ages and ski abilities. Events include Donut Dash relay sprint, free demos, clinics for backcountry skiing, skijoring and waxing and more.

NOTE: Sunday is a free day in Washington State Parks, meaning no Discovery Pass is required. However, a Sno-Park pass will be required to park in the state parks for WinterFest.
