Dates are set for the second Coeur d’Alene Food and Wine Festival.

Next year’s fest is slated for April 12 to 14.

The event features three days of wine tasting, workshops and, of course, meals from some of the region’s best chefs.

The 2019 event will be held in partnership with the Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association’s popular Wine Extravaganza. And that means even more activities than the inaugural year this year.

Friday’s schedule includes an opening reception featuring wines from a dozen regional wineries and a Doubleback Wine Dinner featuring entrees by Beverly’s executive chef Jim Barrett and wines from Drew Bledsoe’s Doubleback Winery in Walla Walla.

Saturday starts with yoga and a brunch bar, followed by wine-tasting classes, a cocktail class and lunch at Cedars Floating Restaurant or a Barrister Winemaker Lunch at Beverly’s, Amavi Cellars Walla Walla Wine Lunch or a Townshend Cellars Lunch on the Green at the Floating Green Restaurant.

Also Saturday, there’s an art show with wine tasting, annual wine walk in downtown Coeur d’Alene, a series of wine-pairing dinners with L’Ecole No. 41, Long Shadow Vintners, Pepper Bridge Winery and Dunham Cellars or a Lakeside Dinner Experience featuring chef Jay Blackinton of Orcas Island.

Sunday, the itinerary include brunch, followed by a grand tasting with chef Chad White of Bravo TV’s “Top Chef” and the downtown Spokane restaurant Zona Blanca.

The Grand Grenache Pass is $359 per person and includes Friday’s Taste at Twilight, Saturday’s Sunrise Salutations Brunch, two classes, a three-course lunch and the Lakeside Dinner Experience as well as Sunday’s grand tasting.

The Premier Pinot Pass includes Friday’s Taste at Twilight, Saturday’s Lakeside Dinner Experience and Sunday’s grand tasting.

And the Select Syrah Pass includes Friday’s Taste at Twilight and Saturday’s Lakeside Dinner Experience.

Pass-holders can save 5 to 15 percent on resort accommodations on event dates.
