Books for Cooks

“Robin to the Rescue”

By Robin Miller (Taunton Press, $18.95)

Everyone needs to be rescued sometimes. It might as well be by Robin Miller and not Papa Murphy. Miller, the star of the Food Network’s “Quick Fix Meals,” has released her seventh cookbook. Filled with quick and healthy recipes, it could help busy moms and dads avoid that next Calgon moment. Miller’s recipes also give home cooks instructions for making “meal kits” that can be whipped into dinners on busy weeknights, doubling batches and “banking” meals in the fridge, converting recipes for the slow cooker and “morphing” leftovers to avoid burnout.

Look inside today’s Food section for the recipe for Parmesan-Sage Pork Loin that can be cooked in the oven or the slow cooker.
