OpenTable has named Spokane’s Clinkerdagger one of the most scenic places to dine in America.

The longtime restaurant overlooks the Spokane River and is known for its Broadway Pea Salad, Rock Salted Roasted Prime Rib and variety of steaks to which seafood – Dungeness crab, prawns, lobster – can be added.

And, of course, for dessert, there’s the creme brulee.

A Spokane favorite for more than 40 years, Clinkerdagger is a go-to spot for birthday, anniversary and holiday dinners. It’s also a top spot for Gonzaga University students to go with their parents.

Clink’s is also known for its popular happy hour, especially – this time of year (when it’s not too smoky) – on its two-tiered patio, which juts from the old Flour Mill and offers spectacular views of the river and Riverfront Park.

OpenTable, a restaurant reservation and review site, compiled the list of the 100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America.

Other Northwest eateries included on this year’s list are: The Pink Door and Ray’s Boat House in Seattle, Lobster Shop South in Tacoma and Portland City Grill in Portland.

The list was compiled from more than 12 million verified OpenTable diner reviews for more than 28,000 restaurants in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. from June 1, 2017, to May 31, 2018.

California has the most restaurants on the list, with 28. Florida was second, with 13. And New York was third, with seven.

“This list offers the perfect scenery for everyone,” OpenTable posted on its site at www.opentable.com.

Clink’s appeared also appeared on the list in 2016.
