No ‘West Side Story’ but ‘Gintama: The Very Final’
First, let me own up to having made an error.
A blog post that ran yesterday (since deleted) regarding a 60th-anniversary screening of “West Side Story” announced that the event was scheduled to play this coming Sunday and the following Wednesday.
WRONG.That post has since been deleted. The actual screening dates for “West Side Story” will be Sunday, Nov. 29, and Wednesday Dec. 1. Hey, as so many celebrities and political types say when they’re caught having done something wrong, mistakes were made.
I’ll go one better, though: I made this one all by myself. Totally my bad.
All that said, another completely different kind of Fathom Events presentation WILL be occurring this weekend. A screening of the animated film “Gintama: The Very Final” will screen on Sunday and Monday at Regal Northtown Mall and Regal Riverstone Stadium in Coeur d’Alene.
Screening times will be 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday (first one dubber, second one in Japanese with subtitles, and 7 p.m. Monday (dubbed only).
As the title indicated, the film concludes the “Gintama” manga and anime series, and it is directed by Chizuru Miyawaki as adapted from the story by Hideaki Sorachi.

Otherwise, have a great movie-going weekend. And sorry again about the “West Side Story” screw-up. I’ll need to go and listen to a recording to the original Broadway show to get over my embarrassment.
“Tonight, tonight, it all began tonight …”
