Is janitor a bad word?

Addy Hatch started the meeting today by saying that she thought the front page was great today. She cited the context added to the animal control story and the scoop on the Fox Theater story as good examples. Dan Hansen agreed saying,”We just did some really good journalism yesterday.”
Dan liked the work done on the East Valley schools story, the DeLeon daughter story and the Pratt Elementary story.

There was a short conversation about the pejorative nature of the word janitor. Prompted by a reader call, the discussion around the table ended up with an agreement that use of both janitor and custodian were acceptable.
