When it comes to people, the region is booming
The Eastern Washington University Institute for Public Policy and Economic Analysis recently released its Regional Economic Outlook report for 2007.
It estimated growth from 2005 to 2006 and found that the Spokane-Kootenai area is growing faster than the national average. Above and beyond, several cities are going gangbusters.
Liberty Lake had estimated growth of 10.5 percent and Post Falls, its next-door neighbor, grew by 8.2 percent. Hayden’s population increased by an estimated 6.7 percent and Airway Heights grew by 4.3 percent.
