Big Easy down, Knitting Factory up

Workers removed the trademark guitars-and-flames logo of the Big Easy Concert House Friday morning, and they are back today to hoist a sign bearing the venue’s new name: Knitting Factory Concert House . The black and white sign should be going up right now.

New York City-based Knitting Factory Entertainment took over the venue, 919 W. Sprague Ave., in May. It later announced the name would change. Apparently, a “grand-reopening” party is scheduled for Wednesday night.
