Weekend Listening: R.I.P. Clarence Clemons

Yesterday, Clarence Clemons, saxophonist for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, passed away at the age of 69 due to complications following a stroke suffered at his Florida home. Clemens was a member of the E Street Band for over three decades, perhaps the most important component of the band for their sound. It made sense that he appeared as part of the iconic album art to Springsteen's best release, Born to Run in 1975.

I was lucky to see him live in 2008 at the Key Arena with Springsteen and the full E Street Band, one of the best shows I've ever seen. He brought a lot of joy to the band. After the jump, check out several of my favorite performances from Clarence Clemons' career with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band below, including his famous sax solo on "Jungleland."
