Fugitive Powderhorn Developer Jailed
A fugitive disbarred Spokane lawyer accused of duping investors and creditors out of millions of
dollars before fleeing to Mexico more than a decade ago was captured Wednesday night in an international ruse arranged by the U.S. Marshals Office. Federal agents arrested Claude Irwin, Jr. as he stepped off a plane in Los Angeles. He’s been wanted in Spokane County since 1998, a year after he vanished, leaving his multimillion-dollar, 390-acre real estate development near Harrison, called Powderhorn Ridge Ranch, owing at least $3 million/
