Fernan Mulls Stand Vs. CdA Recall

  • Correction: CdA story changes report to say that Fernan council members are considering stand against Coeur d'Alene recall election. Fernan hasn't taken stand yet. Updated story here.

Elected officials in one of the cities adjacent to Coeur d'Alene are encouraging that city's citizens  to reject the effort to recall Mayor Sandi Bloem and City Council members Mike Kennedy, Woody McEvers and Deanna Goodlander. The City of Fernan Lake Village's mayor, Richard Jurvelin and the city's council members, issued a proclamation Monday commending the work of Bloem and the Coeur d'Alene council members and warning about the possible effect of the recall/Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.

Question: Anyone know whether the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce is discussing this? Is your service group or other community organization considering a stand on this issue?
