State Sen. Shawn Keough, R-Sandpoint, who has a “day job” with the Associated Logging Contractors, Facebooked a photo of a bear cub that dropped by the office on Mica Flats this week. Shawn tells Huckleberries that it’s unusual to see a bear cub, especially on the back porch, but “it is not unusual to see all types of wildlife wander through: moose, turkey, deer, and bears — at a distance! The cub ate all the cat food (someone abandoned a litter here and we got them all fixed and have fed them for a couple of years now) and then bounded off into the woods. It looks like it may have visited during the night but no sign since.”
