SD 271 science texts to be available

From Laura Rumpler, Coeur d'Alene School District spokeswoman:

"The Coeur d’Alene School District invites the community to view sample K-12 science instructional materials that the district is currently reviewing for possible adoption. On Tuesday, Dec. 15, and Thursday, Dec. 17, from 4:30 p.m. to -6:30 p.m., we welcome teachers, parents, the general public and media to come to 2175 Main Street (former Vertical Earth store) in Riverstone, (a donated temporary storefront location) for review of these materials. Over 170 different samples are currently being evaluated, piloted and reviewed by a community advisory panel before being recommended to the Board of Trustees for possible adoption. Light refreshments will be available but no materials will be able to be removed from the space."
