Moscow editor responds to column

Managing Editor Lee Rozen responds to a column by Randy Stapilus re: current home of the Moscow-Pullman Daily News. In the column, Stapilus told of a book meet-and-greet tour with online columnist Chris Carlson that took them to Moscow. Stapilus was surprised to learn that the Daily News had moved from its long-time haunts to a suite in a building owned by a bank:

"Moscow and Pullman still have their own newspaper with a news staff of 14, just as we did in the old building. We are still winning the top awards from the UISAPA annual newspaper contest. Recently, we broke the UI football shoplifting story. We have a local editorial and a local op-ed column six days a week. From a business standpoint, selling our nearly empty old building helped the company pay down the debt on its excellent press and production facility in Lewiston, and brought another company with a lot more employees to downtown Moscow."

Thoughts?
