Regan disappointed w/PAC expose

In a letter to the editor today, Brent Regan, chairman of the Idaho Freedom Foundation, chastises the Coeur d'Alene Press for revealing some of the individual behind the secretive Kootenai County Republican Concerned Citzens mailing (including Regan):

I was disappointed to read Jeff Selle’s April 9 piece on Precinct Committeemen and PACs. I would remind Jeff that the same Amendment that enumerates his right to pen his speculations ALSO protects the free speech of citizens. The entire premise of the article is shown to be false with one simple fact of which Jeff is fully aware. The highest elected official in the state has his own PAC. Butch Otter’s “Otter PAC” has the specific mission of going after Precinct Committeemen that don’t align politically with the governor. THERE is your story Jeff. More here.

Thoughts?
